USA Softball of Houston Refund Policy and Protocol

NSF Checks:
1. A fee of $25.00 will be charged for NSF checks, or rejection of PayPal payment. A $50.00 fee will be charged for” Stop Payment” checks. Also, NO team will be allowed to play in any USA Softball of Houston events until all fees are paid.


Weather Cancellation Policies

At USA Softball of Houston, safety is the most important thing and if any of the threatening weather conditions listed below are present the day of the event, the event may be delayed or canceled. When weather conditions or other physical conditions present a danger to participants, our officials maintain the right to cancel the event. Less threatening conditions may cause alterations of the format to ensure participant, volunteer, and community safety. Such conditions fall under the label “Acts of God,” and will not result in a 100% refund of any entry fees or future event credits, since a portion of the funds were already spent in preparation for the event.


Threatening Weather Conditions

The USA Softball events may be canceled or delayed if any of the following weather conditions exist: Tornado Warning, Tornado Watch, Thunderstorm, “Heavy” Rain, other major weather condition.


Start or the Cancellation of the Event

The start of the event may be delayed from the posted start time if any of the above mentioned conditions exist. The event may then be canceled if any of the weather conditions persist: Tornado Warning, Tornado Watch or Thunderstorm.


Other Extreme Conditions

The start of the event may be delayed from the posted start time if these extreme. Unhealthy air quality due fire or other pollutions. Any Police or Fire emergency in the area.


Authority to Cancel the Event

The Tournament Director, in accordance with the city and or the local law enforcement, has the authority to cancel the event, if threatening conditions force cancellation of the event.


Broadcast of Cancellation

If Event is canceled more than 24 hours prior to the start time: We will notify all coaches by email.

If Event is canceled less than 24 hours before start time: We will notify all participants by email. We will also send a text to all who agreed to receive notification text messages during the registration process.

If Event is canceled during the actual event, on-site notification will be posted if weather alert level is RED, ORANGE OR YELLOW on the scale below
